Details of the project
Located on Yas Island, Sea World Abu Dhabi is an 183 000 square meters indoor theme park that offers 8 immersive realms that take its visitors on an incredible journey from the poles to the tropics, with over 100 animal experiences and presentations, including up-close animal encounters and expeditions. SeaWorld is home to over 35 interactive experiences and rides, it offers live characters, roaming entertainment and performances, as well as 17 restaurants and 13 shops.
SeaWorld Abu Dhabi is also home to Yas SeaWorld Research & Rescue Yas Island, a center dedicated to marine research, as well as rescuing, rehabilitating, and returning cured animals to their habitat. The first-of-its-kind in the region. The 8 600 square meters facility homes three dry labs, a wet lab, an aquaculture facility, rescue pools for big and small marine creatures, and a veterinary hospital on site.
Started in 2016, the ambitious project was led by the developer Miral, and inaugurated in May 2023.
